Diane Hampel, MSEd, has spent 35 years in education as a teacher, coordinator, principal, and district administrator. With master’s degrees in elementary education and educational administration, her passion has always been curriculum and instruction, specifically early literacy skills. In her role at the district level, she was responsible for implementing intervention opportunities for all students, aligning curriculum to Common Core State Standards, implementing standards-based report cards, and coordinating professional development for preK-12 teachers. Ms. Hampel has been involved in school improvement, including comprehensive school reform models and school improvement grants. She earned both of her master’s degrees from Eastern Illinois University and currently works with Learning Sciences on school improvement through leadership development.
