As a volunteer in overseas schools, John Edwards, EdD, realized how much good he could do by devoting his life to children’s education. His 30-plus year career spans all levels of the education system. Dr. Edwards has served as a district curriculum and instructional leader, as well as an area superintendent in a large urban school district. The driving force through those years was a need to improve children’s lives by improving the public school system. When Dr. Edwards discovered the Marzano models, he found the perfect fit and has since been an advocate for improvement through these models. He is a frequent contributor to the Learning Sciences Marzano Center Sharing Expertise educator blog. He earned his doctorate at the University of Central Florida.
