Lindsey Devers Basileo, PhD, received her doctorate in criminology and criminal justice from Florida State University. Dr. Devers Basileo has more than seven years of experience in social science research. She has been working at Learning Sciences International since 2013. Her responsibilities include conducting process and outcome evaluations, which includes assessing and measuring student growth, using mixed methods to create multiple measures of teacher effectiveness, and integrating both observational and student survey data into the evaluation.
Prior to working at Learning Sciences, she worked as an on-site consultant for the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice, where she advised senior management, responded to congressional inquiries, defined and analyzed performance metrics for BJA strategic planning initiatives, and analyzed and presented data in BJA’s GrantStat process to assess program performance and compliance. In addition, Dr. Devers Basileo was the project manager at the Justice Research Center for several evidence-based research initiatives for the Connecticut Court Support Services aimed at rehabilitating troubled youth. Her research interests include evaluation, statistics, survey development and implementation, sampling, and social science research.
