Sue O’Rear has over 30 years of experience. She has taught middle school science, social studies, and high school English Arts. In l997, Sue earned her National Board Certification in ELA and received AP Language training at the University of Central Florida.
Sue has served as a school instructional coach, district curriculum director over Pre-K – 12th grades, school improvement specialist, Title II A director, National Middle School Professional Development (now known as Association of Middle Level Educators) cadre member, three-million-dollar literacy grant manager, and curriculum writer for 12th grade English Language Arts units for Georgia Department of Education.
Sue has conducted numerous professional development sessions over literacy across the content, high leverage practices, student engagement, differentiation, writing, and special education inclusion. If asked, Sue will tell you that her passion is literacy across the various contents.
