Dear friends and partners,
Our hearts and thoughts are with all of our school and district partners during these uncertain times as the COVID-19 virus affects our communities. We admire your effort to meet students' needs despite the many challenges. We see heroic examples from continuing to provide free meals even when schools are closed to figuring out ways to implement online learning and creating a plan to make up for lost education time.
One of my biggest concerns that we all share is the impact to disadvantaged students and those lacking support at home. When school starts up again, the gap for these students will likely be wider. To support you—and your students—we are working on an array of virtual solutions and services to help teachers develop and strengthen their planning and core instruction skills in preparation to rapidly close these gaps in core instruction when students return to schools.
We want to help as you cope with the many challenges ahead. LSI will be offering free webinars to help your teachers and leaders with online pedagogy, SEL for online classrooms, and other topics of need. We will even have topics on conducting online classroom observations for principals to strengthen online teaching practices.
Please know as our valued partners, we want to be as responsive to your needs as possible, so please share your needs with us as we all navigate through these unprecedented times.
We will continue to support you. Please be safe and watch for communications from us on these topics.
