Founded by former university faculty and researchers, Learning Sciences International employs only the most highly qualified professionals as staff developers—those with extensive real-world classroom experience.
Angie Thompson, EdD, is a dedicated and knowledgeable educator with a wide range of educational skills. In her 31 years in public education she has served as an elementary teacher, Staff Development Coordinator, School Improvement Coach and Director of Teaching and Learning. Dr. Thompson is experienced in standards-based curriculum, instruction and assessment; collecting, disaggregating and analyzing data; designing and implementing staff development; and identifying and developing best practices. She is passionate about closing the opportunity and achievement gaps for all students and has experience in school improvement with high-poverty schools, designing and implementing a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and serving ELL students.
Dr. Thompson has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master’s Degree in Instructional Design for Online Learning and a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and Change. Her credentials include a K-8 teaching certification in the state of Pennsylvania, a K-2 Early Childhood certification in the state of Ohio, an Ohio administrative specialist license in the area of Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development and Superintendent licenses in both Ohio and Pennsylvania.
