Dr. Kathy Houpt
Kathy Houpt, EdD, has been deeply involved in multiple aspects of K-12 education for more than 40 years, including serving as a bilingual teaching assistant, a middle and high school teacher, middle school assistant principal, and elementary principal. Dr. Houpt has also held district level positions as Curriculum Director, Director of Secondary Education and Director of Human Resources. She worked at Harcourt School Publishers for more than 19 years, most notably in the area of curriculum development, where she provided professional development for teachers and administrators across the United States. She received a MALS from Valparaiso University and a doctorate in Educational Administration from the University of Illinois. She works with districts across the nation building teacher and leader effectiveness for school improvement and has served as the lead consultant in major urban districts. Dr. Houpt is proud to be a contributing author on School Leadership for Results.
