Dr. Kathy Taber

The excitement of learning has been a lifelong focus for Kathy Taber, PhD, including earning her doctorate from University of Oklahoma. Dr. Taber spent 35 years in public school education as a teacher and principal. She was recognized as Oklahoma’s National Distinguished Principal in 2003 and simultaneously became an instructor at the University of Oklahoma’s College of Education. There she focused on the education of student interns who were ready to become education professionals. Dr. Taber became committed to the work of Dr. Marzano in identifying the most effective strategies for teachers to impact student learning. She found the move to staff developer with Learning Sciences an opportunity to continue learning and applying the work of Dr. Marzano through the Marzano Teacher Evaluation Model.  As a staff developer she has the opportunity to collaborate with other educators to endeavor to make meaningful connections to best practices in an ever-changing world.
