Phyllis Wuetcher-Suggett, MEd
Phyllis comes to LSI with over 25 years of experience in public education. She has served in diverse socioeconomic settings and communities ranging from Title 1 to affluent schools. Phyllis has been a secondary social studies teacher, lead teacher, department chair, instructional coach, and high school assistant principal. Her extensive background in innovative instructional practices includes standards-based instruction; evidence-based pedagogy; formative assessment development and refinement; Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS); PLC participation, coaching, and facilitation; and data-driven decision making that led to individual school and district systems improvement. In these various capacities and with this experience, Phyllis continues to lead in roles that facilitate actualizing school improvement planning and implementation. Phyllis is a lifelong learner who believes that a powerful education experience can save students’ lives. This is accomplished by working in partnership with educators–at every level–to make high levels of learning accessible and possible for all students.
Phyllis holds a BA in the social sciences along with a secondary level teaching credential from Chapman University, California. She earned her MEd at California State University, San Bernardino. Her Education Instructional Leadership and Administration credential was earned at Utah State University.
