Dr. Terrie Mitev

Terrie Mitev, EdD, brings 38 years of experience as a teacher and administrator in the U.S. and South America. As an administrator, she served as an assistant principal, a principal for 18 years, and as an Executive Director of Strategic Planning, Differentiated Accountability, and Continuous Improvement Initiatives at the district office. Additionally, Dr. Mitev worked with AdvancED (SACS CASI) for many years participating in and leading accreditation teams. Dr. Mitev’s strengths and passion lay in building capacity through meaningful professional development, differentiation, strategic planning and continuous improvement.

She has worked extensively with diverse populations and her drive to provide equitable opportunities and support teachers in delivering purposeful and impactful instruction to maximize learning for all students is central to her beliefs. Dr. Mitev believes school and district leaders are central to improving instruction and ensuring success for all students. She is dedicated to assisting leaders in evaluating and developing teachers.

Dr. Mitev received her Bachelor of Science degree in K – 6 education, Middle School Math, and Master of Educational Leadership from University of Arkansas. She received her doctorate in Educational Leadership from University of Miami, Miami, Florida.
