A Proven Software-Enabled Teacher Evaluation Model
Evidence and Research-Based
This objective focused, and research-based evaluation model ensures equity in classroom instruction by eliminating the impact of potential biases. Observers can quickly identify instructional initiatives and practices during the evaluations.
Principal and Teacher Friendly
This comprehensive and growth-oriented model helps Teachers and Evaluators form a trusted partnership working toward the same goals where the evaluation purpose is understood and embraced by Teachers and Principals.
Efficient and Effective
More efficient evaluations free up Administrators and Evaluators to better impact instructional outcomes. Consistent evaluation reporting across the District optimizes the evaluation process with reliable data to better inform actions.
Today, busy supervisors, administrators and evaluators just don't have a lot of time for observations. So, without losing anything, we compacted the elements of the original teacher evaluation model into broader categories. Everything is still there but it's much more efficient and can be effectively used even with two or three observations.
Evaluations Should Be Focused and Objective to Effectively Improve Teacher Professional Growth
- Are district-wide initiatives implemented in classrooms inconsistently?
- Are you experiencing missed opportunities for students, teachers, and principals to realize their true potential?
- Is your current evaluation system subjective, resulting in wide and inconsistent swings in teacher ratings?
- Are equity and access gaps stagnant or continuing to grow?

Teachers' observation scores remain the largest and most statistically significant predictor of teacher value-add (estimates the effectiveness of a teacher by isolating the contribution of the teacher to student learning). Results from three years of data, including up to 13,316 teachers, demonstrated FTEM had the highest positive and statistically significant impact overall, and in ELA and math for teacher evaluation models.

Why Trust Learning Sciences with Your Evaluations?
At Learning Sciences International, we know you want to be a capable and confident instructional leader. To do that, you need a simple and effective evaluation system aligned to district instructional initiatives that provide meaningful feedback for core instruction and professional development. The problem is your current model is challenging to use and cumbersome, which is even worse when conducting teacher evaluations across school systems without an objective and consistent evaluation technique, which can be exhausting, overwhelming, and distracting from higher-impact activities.
Evaluations should be focused and objective to effectively improve teacher professional growth. As former school leaders, we’ve experienced the overwhelming time to conduct evaluations using a cumbersome and inefficient evaluation model and know how frustrating it can be when looking for a proven and effective evaluation system that can be implemented smoothly.
